Sunday School for ages 3 up to 14. We also have a supervised creche for under 3s.
We believe that adults and children should worship together, and so the children are usually in with their parents for the first 20 minutes of the worship service. The children then go through to the hall for their Sunday School groups for age appropriate teaching from the bible, with games, crafts, quizzes etc. We have Sunday School groups for ages 3-6, 6-9, 9-11 and 11-14. We also have a well equipped supervised crèche for under 3’s. If parents, do not wish to eave their child in the crèche, they may stay with them.
We also have a Youth Service called ‘Connect’ which is run jointly with several other congregations. Connect is for young people in S1 upwards and meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 7.30pm in Greenock Baptist Church at the Kerr Hall, Nelson St/George Square.
The last Sunday in the month is a family service and we encourage young people in S1 – S6 to remain in church through out the service. This will help them make the transition from Sunday School to adult church.
We have other uniformed organisations for children and young people which meet during the week.
Boy’s Brigade – various nights throughout the week – click here to go to the BB company’s own website.
Girl’s Brigade – Wednesday nights.
The Mount Kirk operates child safeguarding policy according to national Church of Scotland guidelines and the new PVG government legislation.
